Here’s what Capitol police know
- Trump incited a mob to kill any Capitol police officer who got in the way of their hunting to kill VP Pence and Congress — (deadly Insurrection).
- For 5 long hours Trump did not send backup to help Capitol police who were being: killed, stabbed, eyes gouged out, beaten with poles and fire extinguishers, etc. (National Guard did not arrive at Capitol til 5:40pm)
- One Capitol police officer was murdered, 2 committed suicide, 140 injured, and an untold number suffering PTSD from Trump’s Insurrection.
- Trump told his cop killers “We love you.”
So my question is this:
Q: How many of Capitol police officers (and DC cops) will zealously protect the GOP (and staff) who say: ‘Donald Trump has a Constitutional right to incite a mob to do those things: kill cops, beat cops, etc.’
Cops are only human & they do have a fraternal brotherhood with each other. I’m not a cop, but it seems to me cops would be pissed at what Trump unleashed on them and at the GOP supporting what Trump did.
I have no doubt that Capitol cops will do their job to protect everyone no matter who they are; that’s not the question.
The question is, will they “zealously” protect, and I wouldn’t be surprised if at some level, Capitol police (& DC police) consciously (or subconsciously) impassively protect the GOP, who vigorously support Trump’s deadly Insurrection on them.
