National Emergency? Trump tells Mexico 'the wall is least important thing - it's political'

It’s important to remember Trump told Mexico’s president that Trump’s wall is “the least important thing” so obviously not a “National Emergency”and Trump said his wall is only “political

TRUMP: the wall is “the least important thing we are talking about, but politically this might be the most important.”

Trump told Mexico President he (Trump) is in a “political bind” and begged with Mexico President to pay for the wall.

TRUMP: “the fact is we are both in a little bit of a political bind because I have to have Mexico pay for the wall – I have to.

Dang! Trump was beggin’ hard!

The next exchange is eyeopening: Trump vowed America will not pay for his campaign wall (let that sink in).

TRUMP: Because you and I are both at a point now where we are both saying we are not going to pay for the wall. From apolitical standpoint, that is what we will say. We cannot say that anymore because if you are going to say that Mexico is not going to pay for the wall, then I do not want to meet with you guys anymore because I cannot live with that.

Notice Trump also admitted that wall is purely political and admitted that all the times Trump bellowed “Mexico will pay” was also purely political (which we all knew, but Trump finally admits).

After confessing to Mexico that everything about Trump’s campaign wall is purely political, Trump then begs Mexico’s President to stop saying Mexico will not pay for it.

I am willing to say that we will work it out, but that means it will come out in the wash and that is okay. But you cannot say anymore that the United States is going to pay for the wall. I am just going to say that we are working it out.

Believe it or not, this is the least important thingthat we are talking about, but politically this might bethe most important talk about. But in terms of dollars – or pesos – it is the least important thing. I know how to build very inexpensively, so it will be much lower than these numbers I am being presented with, and it will be a better wall and it will look nice. And it will do the job.

Ok, we all knew/know that Trump’s campaign wall was nothing more than political, racist bullshit — and Trump acknowledges that to Mexico’s president.

Fast forward to 2018 mid-terms: Trump fired up his racist rhetoric demonizing refugees seeking asylum and sent US Troops to the southern border … ya know, to ‘prove’ that dark-skinned refugees are daaannnngerous!

The troops are doing busy work. Period.  Troops are mostly are tasked with laying concertina wire which, many mayors in border cities have complained about because the concertina wire is hideous and pointless.

Most import though, to Trump using the US Military as a political prop, is the fact that the troops will eventually be tasked withtaking down the concertina wire.  Yeah … you read that right. Currently troops are laying concertina wire and in a few months they will be tasked with taking it down.

(You can read about those complaints from mayors on border towns and the fact that the troops will be taking down the very concertina wire they laid here and here. )

Back to Trump’s conversation with Mexico’s President: Mexico continued to say “No, Mexico will not pay for Trump’s wall.”

And, Trump no longer said “Americans will not pay for the wall” hmmmmmm ….

So, because Trump still felt he was in a “political bind”  Trump conned-up two things:

1) Trump started to *claim* he will fulfill his ‘promise of a wall’ (thus trying to eliminate Trump’s real promise: MEXICO will pay for Trump’s campaign wall.)

2) Trump shutdown the government to intentionally, sadistically, & maliciously destroy the emotional and financial lives of over 800,000 American families in his effort to force Americans to pay for Trump’s political campaign wall.

Let that sink in: Because Trump was personally in a “political bind” Trump sadistically, maliciously, and intentionally tried to emotionally and financially destroy the lives of over 800,000 American families all because Trump was wanted Americans to bailout and pay for Trump’s political campaign wall

I know of at least two federal workers, one who was forced to work without pay and one who was furloughed, who attempted suicide.  That’s Trump’s presidency!  Trump’s willful policy caused, at least two federal workers, to attempt to kill themselves.

One prison guard in Louisiana attempted suicide recently. He is expected to make a full recovery.

One IRS worker in Kansas City attempted suicide due to Trump’s Shutdown.

Suicide was also a concern for veterans who are federally employed.  People who work with federally employed veterans were also concerned that Trump’s shutdown may cause some veterans to commit suicide.  On behalf of veterans employed by the Federal government, American Federation of Federal Employees (AFGE) J. David Cox complained about Trump’s shutdown:

“Federal government employed veterans are hurting right now,” he said. “Regardless of their continued service to our country the President and his cabinet have left them out in the cold, forcing them to work without pay or subjecting veterans and their families to the uncertainty of not knowing when or where their next paycheck will come from.”

AFGE Local President Edward Canales said that if the shutdown doesn’t stop soon, “we are going to have fatalities, we’re going to have suicides.

Trump did not give one damn that his malicious shutdown was causing such emotional distress that suicide was a concern and Trump had his incompetent Veterans Affairs Secretary, Robert Wilkie, send a letter to AFGE scolding veterans who were complaining about Trump’s shutdown and told those veterans to, basically, ‘shut the fuck up’ and then demanded they apologize for complaining.

I ask you to apologize publicly for your AFGE colleague’s reckless comments and to outline the steps you plan to take to ensure AFGE leaders demonstrate proper respect for our nation’s heroes.

I look forward to your response.

Sincerely, Robert L. Wilkie

AFGE responded publicly and basically said “no” we will not shut the fuck up.

All the many hundreds of thousands of Americans who Trump intentionally, maliciously, and sadistically tried to destroy was all because Trump personally felt he was in a goddamned “political bind.”

Trump felt that if he could inflict severe, cruel, and excruciating pain on hundreds of thousands of American families; that, at some point, Americans would agree to bailout and pay for Trump to get out of his personal political bind.

Trump is sadistic, vile, malicious, racist, bigot, pathological liar, criminally corrupt, a danger to US national security, and harmful to all Americans.

To summarize Trump’s conversation with Mexico’s president:

** Trump admits, by his words and his actions that Trump is in a “political bind” and there is no“National Emergency.”

** Trump admits to Mexico’s president that Trump’s campaign wall is purely political;

** Trump’s admits his rhetoric “Mexico will pay for the wall” is purely political;

** Trump admits he, personally, is in a “political bind” and there is no “National Emergency” at the southern border.

Trump negotiated his wall with Mexico; Trump lost when Mexico said “no.”

There is nothing for Trump to negotiate with Americans and nothing Americans need to compromise with Trump over because, as Trump admits in his call with Mexico’s president, Americans were never supposed to pay for Trump’s political campaign wall.

TRUMP: Because you and I are both at a point now where we are both saying we are not to pay for the wall. From a political standpoint, that is what we will say.

Americans should not bailout and not pay for Trump to get out of the political bind Trump put himself in with Trump’s political campaign wall … a political campaign wall that even Trump admits is “the least important thing.

TRUMP: But you cannot say anymore that the United States is going to pay for the wall. I am just going to say that we are working it out. Believe it or not, this is the least important thing that we are talking about, but politically this might be the most important talk about. But in terms of dollars – or pesos – it is the least important thing.

The fact is we are both in a little bit of a political bind because I have to have Mexico pay for the wall – I have to.”

If Trump ever declares a “National Emergency” because he’s in a “political bind” over his campaign wall; then I hope that lawyers will use his conversation with Mexico’s president to highlight the fact that Trump’s campaign wall was nothing more than “political” and was never a “National Emergency.”
